HIPPOPOTAMUS

(large paper bag, construction paper, crayons, markers)
1. Measure down about 6 inches from the opening of a large paper bag, and cut around the entire bag. Set aside the cut section.
2. Using a piece of light-colored construction paper about the same size as one side of the paper bag, draw the opened mouth of a hippopotamus. Color it with crayons and markers.
3. Glue the hippopotamus face to the paper bag. Put the bag on your head. Using a crayon, have a friend carefully mark where the eyeholes should be on the outside of the bag. Remove the bag and cut out the eyeholes.
4.  Add cut-paper flowers around the hippopotamus's head. Trim the bag around the bottom of the head and mouth with scissors.
